If you're seeking a cozy corner in Dushanbe to sip on exceptional coffee and enjoy delightful treats, look no further than Mazza Cafe. Nestled at HQJV+799, this charming cafe has quickly become a beloved local haunt, particularly for those who appreciate a strong cup of Joe and inviting ambiance.

Mazza Cafe stands out not just for its aromatic blends, but also for its diverse menu that boasts everything from crispy chicken salads to indulgent desserts like their acclaimed cheesecake. The grilled offerings and pastries serve as perfect companions to accompany your steaming cup. The exquisite flavors come through effortlessly with every bite, making even a simple lunch feel gourmet.

Upon entering Mazza Cafe, you are greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere, lined with shelves filled with books in various languages. This eclectic decor adds an intellectual charm, encouraging patrons to linger awhile, whether alone or in good company. Furnished with comfortable seating, it serves as an excellent third space for both work and relaxation. Indeed, as one happy customer, Ishanov Alisher, aptly points out, the cafe attracts expatriates and locals alike who are seeking a productive study environment without the intrusive noise often found in larger chains.

Though the cafe is often bustling, some guests, like David Harper-Jones, noted that a little more attentiveness from the staff would enhance the overall experience. However, the friendly demeanor of the employees has received high praise, with Out and About with Abe raving about the great service along with the food quality.

One drink you must try is the flat white. Many fans, including filippo reggimenti, emphasize that it's consistently prepared with care. And if you're in the mood for something different, their ginger and lemon tea is a flavorful and refreshing choice, perfect for any time of day.

Mazza Cafe is more than just a coffee spot; it embodies a sense of community and offers a genuine Dushanbe experience. Whether you're in it for deep discussions over coffee, taking a break from errands, or even embarking on a small work project, this cafe checks all the boxes. As J.W. Rozelle poetically puts it, it may just be the best cafe in town—a little tucked away yet a true gem, awaiting to be discovered by those with a craving for quality and comfort.

So grab a book, settle into a cozy corner, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere that is Mazza Cafe. It's a place where flavor, comfort, and culture blend seamlessly, making it a must-visit for every resident and traveler in Dushanbe.

On 3 Sept 2025 I had the crispy chicken salad, which was perfect! The waiters could be a little more attentive. Atmosphere is nice: I like the way they have books on the shelves in at least four languages.

This is unquestionably the best coffee shop in Dushanbe for working or studying during the day while enjoying good coffee and desserts. The presence of the expatriate laptop users at the location proves this. It's a third space similar to Starbucks, but with better coffee. They have a separate lounge area and a smoke-free area. I tried flat white at least a dozen times and it was always good. Following my request, they have even begun serving flat whites in glasses. Thank you to all of the baristas and hosts for 3 months of hospitality while I had to go there every day to work and study.

This may be the best cafe in Dushanbe. A little tucked away, but a real gem. Good coffee for this city, and amazing cheesecake. Definitely found my new haunt.

Great café with amazing coffee! Their ginger and lemon tea is exceptional. The food is also very good. The wifi isn't the best, but it's a place comfortable to work in.

Very good coffee. And for Dushanbe a great service- their English was amazing. For tourists very recommended.

This is one of the best cafes we frequently visit due to its excellent service, pleasant atmosphere, and diverse menu. I particularly appreciate the calm environment that allows for working on a laptop for several hours, thanks to the available Wi-Fi. The cafe also boasts a beautiful Persian design that enhances its interior, making it even more inviting. It is conveniently located and offers an English menu. The waitstaff are young and friendly, and they speak English well. There's even a prayer space for Muslims. The staff are simply wonderful. However, there are some downsides: dishes and drinks often contain too much sugar, and the music can sometimes be too loud.
